Liaflor Hydroculture Natural Clay Granulate 50L

The clay substrate Liaflor is an ecological, proven raw material for healthy indoor and terrace pants as well as for professional hydroponics. The Liaflor substrate is based on the use of natural Liassic clay. This is baked in a rotary oven at a temperature of approximately 1,200 °C, expanded and sieved. Liaflor is frostproof, non-flammable, germ-free and chemically and biologically neutral.

The Liaflor clay granules are filled with countless air gaps that give the product its light weight. This makes Liaflor particularly quick and easy to apply. What is more, the high baking temperature makes Liaflor extremely strong and stable. As a result, the Liaflor clay granules retain their shape even when wet or after frequent frosts. Whether used alone or combined with earth, Liaflor provides an ideal soil structure and guarantees that plants are optimally supplied with water and nutrients and are properly aerated.

The Liaflor clay granules promote healthy plant growth and permit many different applications. Thus, for example, Liaflor provides ideal drainage for indoor and terrace plants. Liaflor absorbs excess moisture, stores it and releases it again when the plants need it. The clay granules also guarantee adequate aeration and thus prevent waterlogging and mould. At the same time, Liaflor minimizes the risk of the plants drying out and they can be left for an extended period without being watered. Due to its high water storage capacity, Liaflor is also the ideal substrate for easy-to-maintain hydroponic projects.

Available in a range of sizes

Liaflor is available in the grain sizes 1–4 millimetres (poured density approx. 770±100 kg/m3), 4–8 millimetres (poured density approx. 500 ± 50 kg/m3), 8–16 millimetres (poured density approx. 430 ± 50 kg/m3) or 10–20 millimetres (poured density. 430 ± 50 kg/m3). Liaflor is available directly from Liapor GmbH & Co. KG as a loose fill, in "Big Bags" (1,.000 and 2,000 litres) or in foil sacks (5, 10, 25, 50 litres).
