Jiffy Pot Pellets offer a convenient and mess-free method for starting flower and vegetable seeds, as well as cuttings. Simply add water to activate the pellets, which expand to create both pot and soil in one. Made from Canadian sphagnum peat moss, these pellets provide a rich and high-quality growing environment. You can directly transplant the seedlings into the ground or larger containers, minimizing transplant shock and root damage.

Each pellet is a small disc of compressed peat, encased in a thin plastic net, that expands to seven times its original size, reaching dimensions of 42 mm (1.65 inches) in height and 43 mm (1.69 inches) in width just minutes after water is added. Jiffy Pots are ideal for starting most flowers, as well as lettuce, cabbage, and more. Additionally, they are OMRI listed, making them perfectly suitable for certified organic growers.

Instructions

Place pellets in watertight tray and add warm water. Drain excess water when pellets are 1-1.5" tall. Plant seeds according to package instructions. Water when pellets turn light brown. To harden off plants, place outside in shade for several days, gradually increasing time spent outside each day. To transplant, dig holes deep enough to cover top of pellets. Gently firm soil around pellet and water.
