Growing recommendations
Perennial. Sea Holly requires cold stratification for successful germination. Place seeds in a damp paper towel in the fridge for 3–4 weeks, then sow indoors 4–8 weeks before the last frost or direct seed in the late fall or early spring. Plant in full sun, spacing plants 12–18 inches apart. Sea Holly prefers well-drained soil, even poor or sandy, and is drought-tolerant once established. This hardy plant requires minimal maintenance and will return year after year.
