Semi-determinate. This Italian heirloom is the perfect tomato for sun-drying and processing. Small plum-sized fruit grow in thick clusters, ripen rather evenly, are very dry, without blemish and almost without core which greatly reduces processing time (we sauce them whole). Rich tomato flavor makes exceptional sauce and paste.

Growing recommendations
Seed tomatoes ¼” deep 4-8 weeks before last frost. Seed densely and transplant to cells or pots after seedlings develop true leaves. Transplant 18”-24” apart when days are warm and there is no longer any risk of frost (ideally avoiding night temperatures below 7 degrees Celsius). Tomatoes like a rich soil, amend with compost or manure as needed. When transplanting, be sure to cover the root ball and submerge the stalk all the way to the cotyledons – the submerged stalk will form adventitious roots. Water thoroughly when transplanting. Stake or trellis tomatoes, unless they are dwarf varieties.
